This lace-style patterned shawl, adapted from the Faroese style, is contoured and shaped for a natural, excellent drape and fit. The pattern begins with the center back neckband, then proceeds from the neck down in garter stitch and lace stitch motifs. yarn over increases and the lace patterns themselves are used to shape the traditional center back panel, side panels, front bands, and fitted shoulders. Since this garment knit up easily into a practical and lovely creation without the need for close attention to size and fit, you may find it ideal for gift giving.
