PIck Up Stitches (with slipped stitch edge)

How to Pick up Stitches alongside of Work with Slipped Stitch Edge

There are many different ways to pick up a slipped stitch:
In the loop facing you and inserting the knitting needle knitwise,
in the back loop and inserting the needle knitwise,
in the loop facing you inserting the needle purlwise,
or in the back loop inserting the needle purlwise.
We have chosen the first way: picking up the stitch in the loop facing you and inserting the needle knitwise.
